Looking For a Supplier Source

Not glamorous, but it’s what I’m doing right now. I want to make up a bunch of those bic pens covered in microbeads and fastened on by double sided tape, but I’m having a hard time finding a good, reasonable source for the beads. I want to put them in my craft booths this fall as a low priced item to draw in the younger crowd so maybe their parents will spend a little time looking. I also find the more low priced items I have, the more lookers I get no matter what age group.

What Are You Doing With The Shrubs Guilt Gift?

Er…….tax rebate, I mean? I haven’t replaced our t.v. yet with a good, usable one. I’m thinking of getting one of those superthin ones with the lcd mount kits, if I can afford it. If not, then I’ll just get the best I can. Of course I could do the responsible, grown-up thing and pay bills with it. But I never claimed to be responsible or grown up, now did I?

A Glimpse of Our New Place

I’ve posted so much about the fire, I thought I’d show you my favorite part of our new place.

Isn’t it wonderful! We love to use it. Little Man wants roasting sticks to roast marshmallows. I’m not sure we should be roasting anything in a gas fireplace, let alone marshmallows.

My Greencastle Fiber Event Swag!

It was a little chilly, but that didn’t stop me! Most of the booths are indoors anyway, right? I had the best time. It was so nice to get out and enjoy myself after all the stress from the previous months. I think it was bigger than last year, but my mind may be deceiving me. Here’s a quick pic of my swag:

Being the caring and generous blogger I am, let me give ya the breakdown.

First you’ll see that cone-shaped thing half covered in purple fiber. It’s a hat form. I’m making the difinitive witch hat. Why? You ask. Because, my blog lives in the Gingerbread House and who did those darlin’ little ones find there? A witch of course. The other two foam things are also hat forms, but of the normal kind. I love needle felting. Not pictured are various little jars of dye for my wool stash. The book is written by a yarn shop owner and is a mystery set in a yarn shop and the murder victim was killed by a set of size 19 addi turbos. If you’re gonna get offed by a set of knitting needles, it might as well be the best, right? I also scored some new felting needles, some colorful angelina to card into some fiber, and do you see that ball of fiber? It is heaven in roving form, I tell ya. Four ounces of merino, angora and silk. I don’t care who you are, that’s fiber porn right there. And the best thing about it? I scored it for only $10. Now, don’t you wish you’d gone? I’ll bet you do.

Let Me Introduce You To…..

My Ashford Joy. Made possible by the generosity of my darling daughter. Joy replaces my traditional that was pretty much a loss from the fire. I’m so glad to have it.
