Aren’t These Cute!
No, before you ask, I’m not pregnant. But my cousin’s wife is and I’m looking at baby knitting patterns for them(hard when you don’t know if it’s a boy or girl) and baby gifts and I came across this maternity clothes site.
My youngest is 10 and my oldest is 15, and they sure didn’t have cute stuff like this when I was pregnant with them. My 15yo loved their clothes and couldn’t believe they were maternity. Most of the tops look just like the stuff she’s buying now, since the babydoll tops are all the rage. I’m going to send my cuz-in-law the link.
I found a cute knitting pattern for a cardigan, but it has a tiny bit of lacework, so I’m not sure I can use it right now. Maybe I should hold off until the know the sex, but, I’ve never knit something like this, so I need plenty of frogging time.
Craft Fair Presentation
I’m taking my candles to craft fairs again this year(I hope, remmeber I’m moving and time is really tight for me right now.). I’ve been trying to decide on display options. The fairs I’m doing this year are small, local ones, so a table, tablecloth, table skirt, and a neat way to display them on the table top is all I’ll really have room for with the size constraints of the venus and the booth sizes. Good thing, the booths are cheap and there’s lots of traffic, though.
I think I want lots of color, and maybe some of those wooden crates you see in the craft stores stacked up on parts of the table for displays. I’ll probably paint them,though I’m not sure what colors yet. I probably won’t be taking any yarn or fiber this year, unless I can really get my tail in gear and get things unpacked and get into production mode. I really wanted to take some yarns, because no one else ever has anything like that here.
Squiggly Sandles and a Finished Object
First, cool flip-flops. My friend got some North Face flip-flops and they are the coolest thing. They look all lumpy and squiggly, but they are heaven on your feel and don’t slide around or make that flipping noise. I’m in love, and gonna get a pair just as soon as I can afford it. (Got some cute clothes, too, if you’re the outdoorsy type, which I’m not, I’d rather be in my studio or in front of my wheel. Guess I could take the wheel outside, huh?)
Also, a cute little FO that took me about a half hour but I’ve gotten so many compliments on it from knitters and muggles cause it’s always with me when I’m out and about. Here ya go:
My sock blocker and sock keychain. I made it out of a bit of Trekking XXL. I just love it! I only wish I’m made the let part a little longer to cover more of the blocker. I’ll do that next time.
